PacTec
provides the North American nuclear industry with full
service Front End packaging development and licensing,
fabrication and maintenance, transportation services and
sales and leasing of the TNF-XI package. the New Powder
Container for GNF-A is an example of a package development
project PacTec toke from concept through design, testing,
licensing and production of the first 350 packages. This 4+
year project was completed in 2002. Similarly, PacTec is
presently providing technical support for licensing as well
producing 100 RAJ-II packages under a contract with
Framatome.
The
TNF-XI powder package is a standard product for PacTec. this
is a Type A-fissile package authorized for shipment of 300
kg of enriched (up to 5% U235) uranium oxide powder. To
provide criticality control, the inner wells include a layer
of neutron-poisoning resin.
