Bill Gallo
CEO
Mr. Gallo earned his BSME from UC Berkeley in 1977 and has spent his entire career in the nuclear industry, with the last 10 years in nuclear packaging technology. He has extensive technical-, project-, and general-management experience both in the commercial nuclear and DOE sectors.
Mr. Gallo joined TN in 1998. As General Manager of TN's Western Operations, Mr. Gallo is responsible for TN's Fremont, California office. He is also the CEO of TN's wholly owned subsidiary, Packaging Technology, Inc. of Tacoma, Washington
J. Greg Field
President
Greg Field graduated from the University of Denver with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics which was followed by a Master of Science degree in Physics with emphasis on Radiological Physics from Washington State University. Subsequent to his service as Nuclear Operations Officer in the US Navy, he stepped into the nuclear packaging and transportation field, first as Manager, Packaging Engineering for Westinghouse Hanford Company and then as Manager, Engineering for Waste Management Technical Services in Richland where he provided leadership for 30 engineers and support staff responsible for the development, design, fabrication and safety analysis of transportation systems and packaging. Greg joined PacTec in 1999 as Vice President, Operations. Two years later he assumed the position he currently holds with responsibility for the daily operation of the company.
Ronald Burnham
Commercial
Programs
Following his service in the Marine Corps and his work in the design of military vehicles at Pacific Car and Foundry, Ron started his Nuclear career in 1974 at Chem-Nuclear Systems. There he headed the design group and held program responsibility for Solidification Systems. In 1983, he joined Pacific Nuclear as Design Engineer where he developed and patented the Resin Drying System. He subsequently participated in the formation of and headed the Waste Services Division. Ron was then Director of Engineering for Environmental Technologies, where he developed systems for the South American fishmeal industry, aquaculture and remediation markets. In 1998, Ron was Assistant Project Manager for the INEEL Interim Spent Fuel Storage Facility for Transnuclear West and in 2001 accepted his present position at
PacTec.
Richard Smith
DOE
Northwest Programs
Rich has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Gonzaga University and is a registered Professional Engineer for the State of Washington. He started his career with Bechtel performing testing and startup of reactor systems and in 1983 joined Kaiser Engineers Hanford to engineer
packaging and handling equipment for the PUREX Plant. In 1991 he joined Waste Management Technical Services of Richland where he was Sr Principal Engineer providing engineering and Project/Program Management of transportation packaging for Hanford and other DOE sites. In 2000 Rich accepted his present position with PacTec where he is in charge of the Richland, Washington project office.
Curt
Lindner
DOE
East Programs
Curt holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Nuclear Engineering from Georgia Tech. He started his career with the NRC, where he was responsible for technical reviews of SARs for transportation package certifications. In 1990, he joined NAC International as a Nuclear Engineer. Later, he joined Chem-Nuclear Systems, serving as a Project Engineer and as design lead for the storage components of DOE’s MPC spent fuel management system. In 1997, he rejoined NAC International as Project Manager responsible for several dry cask storage projects as well as the Connecticut Yankee Decommissioning project. Curt accepted his present position with PacTec in 2003, responsible for DOE business operations in the Eastern region of the United States.
Charles Temus

Cycle Front End Programs
Chuck has a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering as well as an MBA from the University of Denver. He is a registered Professional Engineer for the State of Washington. Chuck started his career at the Westinghouse Electric Naval Reactor Facility where he was a Nuclear Plant Engineer involved in the operation of dual reactor plant for testing and training Navy personnel. In 1979 he joined Chem-Nuclear Systems as Transportation Systems Engineering Manager responsible for design and licensing. He held senior technical/management positions within Nuclear Packaging/Pacific Nuclear companies from 1983 through 1997 focused on his engineering and licensing expertise before accepting a position as Manager for the Northwest Office of Transnuclear West. Following four years as President of Portemus Engineering Chuck accepted his present position with PacTec where he is in charge of the Front End Business Area.
Daniel Kurtz
Quality Assurance
Dan has extensive training and education in business management, quality control and quality assurance. He is certified by the American Society for Quality and past Vice Chairman for the Florida Section of the American Nuclear Society.
Dan started his career at Babcock & Wilcox as part of the Contract Management Team for FPC’s Crystal River Unit 3 and TVA’s Bellefonte Nuclear Plant. He then provided licensing assistance to nuclear utilities as a member of the NUS Licensing Information Service staff as well as conducting quality audits and evaluations. Over the next twenty plus years, Dan supported quality assurance activities at Florida Power
Corporation, first through Southern Science Applications and subsequently as a direct employee managing the Site Quality Assurance Department. In 2003 he assumed his present role at
PacTec.
Donald Hillstrom
Engineering
Don has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Washington State University and is a registered Professional Engineer through the State of Washington. He started his career with PN Services as a Design/Project Engineer for chemical cleaning and waste processing equipment for nuclear reactor sites. In 1985, he joined Nuclear Packaging as a Project Engineer assigned to the design of transportation packages, handling equipment and waste processing systems. In 1991, Don accepted his present position with PacTec where he manages the design engineering group.
